Republicans tried to target Sen. Cantwell’s counterpart, Sen. Patty Murray, last cycle, and succeeded in bringing her down to 52 percent of the vote. This was a multi-candidate field, however, and the Republican runner up received 33 percent. Depending on who challengers her, Sen. Cantwell could face a more expensive, closer-than-expected race, though she’s not in serious danger of losing.
