This Sunday, Oct. 20, Vice President Kamala Harris turns 60. Can you help gift her a Blue Senate by giving $5 or more to each candidate on our 2024 Senate slate?
We wish we could give her 60 for 60—a filibuster-proof majority with which to build the “care economy”—but that’s not realistic in a cycle when Democrats are mostly playing defense.
What we can do is give her a governing majority by protecting every Democratic seat and potentially flipping at least one Republican seat. But with Montana’s Democratic-held seat slipping out of reach, we’ll need to ensure every woman on our 2024 Senate slate is in a position to win:
- Florida: The most recent poll from Marist shows Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell within the margin of error (-2) against Sen. Rick Scott.
- Maryland: Angela Alsobrooks has pulled ahead of former Gov. Larry Hogan—sometimes by as much as double digits (+11)—but we can’t get complacent.
- Michigan: Last week’s Quinnipiac poll had Rep. Elissa Slotkin and Mike Rogers tied, and Cook has had this race at a toss up for weeks.
- Nevada: Recent polls have Sen. Jacky Rosen up by as much as +16 against Sam Brown but again, we can’t get complacent. It’s Nevada!
- Wisconsin: Cook just shifted Sen. Tammy Baldwin’s race from lean Democrat to toss up, after a series of polls showed her within the margin of error.
Happy Birthday Madam Vice President—we look forward to all kinds of celebration ahead!
