Today we should be celebrating the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Instead, we’re in the fight of a generation to preserve abortion access in every way possible.
Right now women are fighting back state by state, driving pro-abortion electoral victories even in conservative states like Kansas, Ohio and Kentucky, and pushing friendly state governments from California to New York to pass new protections.
But if we lose the House, Senate and Presidency this year, none of those victories will matter, because Republicans have plans to pass a national abortion ban. Then, abortion will be outlawed everywhere.

Republicans absolutely are prepared to pass a national abortion ban. Since the fall of Roe, no one should be in denial about that. They might not even need Congress to do it: Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation’s road map for a future Republican presidency, details how the President and administrative state can dramatically curtail access through federal rule changes.
