This month, as we celebrated Pride with parades and protests, we dealt with another thing that’s become a feature of Pride month in recent years: a Supreme Court ruling that chips away at Americans’ fundamental rights.

This year it was the ruling in United States v. Skrmetti, which upheld state bans on providing gender-affirming healthcare for transgender youth. Last year it was the EMTALA case, in which the Court ruled that hospitals don’t have to render emergency care to pregnant women. In 2023 it was 303 Creative, where the Court said business owners have the right to refuse services to LGBTQ people.

And in 2022 there was Dobbs, which took away our right to an abortion and imperiled every privacy-based right—including the right to marriage equality.

But we’re not going to let this wave of anti-LGBTQ attacks—from the Court or anyone—grind us down. We’re going to let it fuel our fire to elect more LGBTQ Democrats.

Celebrate with us during the last week of Pride month by giving $5 or more to our 2025 Pride slate.

It features 8 LGBTQ candidates running in the closest races in of 2025 and 2026:

  • US Rep. Angie Craig, who is running for US Senate in Minnesota. If elected, she would be only the fourth openly LGBTQ US Senator, and one of only two currently serving (with Sen. Tammy Baldwin).
  • US Rep. Sarah McBride, whose mere presence has so inflamed her transphobic colleagues that they are recruiting heavily for someone to run against her next year, and US Rep. Sharice Davids, whose Kansas district has gotten more Democratic but is still competitive.
  • Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey and Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek, who were the first openly lesbian women elected to governorships. Both are looking at closer-than-anticipated general election contests in 2026.
  • Arizona AG Kris Mayes, who will likely have one of the toughest statewide battleground races next year, and state Rep. Brianna Titone, a candidate for Colorado treasurer who’s looking at a tough 2026 primary.
  • And candidate for Downingtown, PA mayor Erica Deuso, who is running to maintain Democratic control in this exurb of Philadelphia. If elected, she would become the first openly transgender mayor in Pennsylvania.

Let’s make sure these LGBTQ women are supported. Give $5 or more to our 2025 Pride slate.
