The 2026 US Senate map is shifting again, this time in Iowa.
Two weeks ago GOP Sen. Joni Ernst announced her retirement, meaning that for the first time in more than a decade, we have a real chance to flip Iowa blue—and Jackie Norris is the Democrat who can do it.
You can give to her and the rest of the 2026 US Senate field now via our newly updated slate.
Norris is a lifelong Iowan, a former teacher and school board chair, and a senior member of the Obama administration. She knows how to win tough races and how to deliver for working families. But first she needs our help to compete in the primary against three men, all of whom are well-known state lawmakers.
With Iowa now in play—along with NC, where former Gov. Roy Cooper is running for Thom Tillis’s open seat, and Ohio, where former Sen. Sherrod Brown is mounting a comeback—a Democratic takeover of the Senate will still be hard, but not impossible. And that’s not to mention Maine, where the pressure’s on for Gov. Janet Mills to announce she’s running.
Please support the women who can make a Senate flip possible:
- Robin Kelly (IL), US Rep.
- Juliana Stratton (IL), current Lieutenant Governor
- Mallory McMorrow (MI), a Michigan state senator
- Haley Stevens (MI), US Rep.
- Angie Craig (MN), US Rep.
- Peggy Flanagan (MN), current Lieutenant Governor
- Dr. Annie Andrews (SC), a practicing pediatrician
Every dollar you give will be split among these candidates to help them organize, reach voters, and overcome the flood of GOP money coming their way.
Reminder: WomenCount encourages donations to women running against each other in the same primary—our mission is to make sure qualified, viable women are competitively funded. If you have a favorite, customize your donation and give just to her. If not, give to both!
