Last week we dropped our updated Virginia general election slate. This week, we’re coming in with round two—New Jersey.

Along with Virginia, New Jersey is one of only two major states holding statewide elections this year, and the outcomes here will shape the national political landscape heading into the midterms.

That’s why today we’re introducing our brand-new 2025 New Jersey slate, featuring three of the closest state legislative races, plus Rep. Mikie Sherrill, who is running for governor.

The three state legislative candidates, all incumbents, are:

  • Luanne Peterpaul (HD-11), the first openly LGBTQ+ woman elected to the New Jersey Legislature;
  • Margie Donlon (HD-11), who was the female physician elected to the New Jersey Legislature; and
  • Mitchelle Drulis (HD-16): who flipped this seat in 2023 to become the first Democrat from Hunterdon County elected to the NJ legislature in over 40 years.

Note that New Jersey elects two assembly members from each district.

And while Mikie is currently ahead in the polls, we expect the race to tighten in the coming weeks. And New Jersey has a history of swinging to the other party when there’s an open seat. Mike had to start her fundraising from scratch after the June primary, so support for her campaign now is crucial in the final stretch..

If Democrats can’t hold the line in New Jersey and Virginia this year, it will embolden the GOP heading into the midterms. But if we win, we send a powerful message: Voters are ready to eject radical Republicans from Congress in 2026.

Please give now to our 2025 New Jersey slate.
