The Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to vote on Brett Kavanaugh tomorrow — and then the full Senate is likely to confirm, changing the Supreme Court’s balance of power for a generation.
Democrats have put up a spirited fight, taking him to task for his opinion that Roe isn’t settled law, his broad view of executive power, and his potential conflicts if crimes involving Trump are ever brought before the Court.
And sure, pro-choice Republicans like Sen. Susan Collins could still come through. But there’s only one sure-fire way to keep another Trump nominee off the Supreme Court: Elect a Democratic Senate in November!
Chip in $5 to Sen. Claire McCaskill, Rep. Jacky Rosen, and the four other Democratic women running to flip and hold seats!
We have to keep Democrats in every vulnerable seat this year — and win at least two more. It’s a tall ask in a year when Democrats are defending 26 seats, including 5 that pollsters are currently rating pure tossups.
That’s why we’re pushing hard on our Take Back the Senate slate. It includes: three Senators running in states that Trump won in 2016 — Claire McCaskill (MO), Tammy Baldwin (WI), and Heidi Heitkamp (ND); Reps. Jacky Rosen (NV) and Kyrsten Sinema (AZ), who are our two best chances to flip seats; and Sen. Tina Smith, who is running to hold Al Franken’s seat.
Don’t sit and stew over the Kavanaugh nomination: Make sure it never happens again.
Chip in $5 to each of the 6 women on our Take Back the Senate slate.
