It’s been one week since Stacey Abrams announced she will run for Georgia governor this cycle—and thanks to you, the 2022 Governors slate hit our $3,000 day 1 fundraising goal!

But Stacey isn’t the only gubernatorial candidate who needs our help. There are 15 other women running next year in the most competitive races.

Let’s make sure they start the year strong: Chip in $5 or more and help us get the 2022 Governors slate to $5,000 by Friday.

The current candidates on the slate are: Katie Hobbs (AZ), Nikki Fried (FL), Annette Taddeo (FL), Stacey Abrams (GA), Deidre DeJear (IA), Laura Kelly (KS), Janet Mills (ME), Danielle Allen and Sonia Chang-Díaz (MA), Gretchen Whitmer (MI), Michelle Lujan Grisham (NM), Kathy Hochul and Letitia James (NY), Nan Whaley (OH), Nellie Gorbea and Helena Foulkes (RI).

The list includes five incumbent women governors. The sixth, Kate Brown (OR), is termed out. And we’re keeping a close eye on whether Attorney General Maura Healey jumps into the Massachusetts gubernatorial race, as expected.

We know there’s concern right now about the 2022 cycle, but races for governor actually look good for Democrats, and we obviously have great women candidates. So many women are running that we will most likely break the record for the number of women governors serving at one time, which is currently nine.

Chip in $5 or more now so we can break that record.

Thanks,

The WomenCount team

PS — If you already know who you’re supporting in matches between two women, go ahead and customize your slate. Otherwise, please give to all 16 women and help the slate move up our leaderboard.
