Sen. Elizabeth Warren

The votes are in from our Veepstakes contest, and the winner is: Sen. Elizabeth Warren, with 29 percent!

This lines up with two polls by polling firms recently, in Wisconsin and Michigan, where a majority of Democratic primary voters said former Vice President Joe Biden should pick Warren as his running mate.

It also squares with what Warren herself has said. On The Rachel Maddow Show last week she didn’t hesitate to answer ‘yes’ when asked if she would accept the VP spot.

Still, there were some close contenders for second, third and fourth place. The full final standings are:

  1. Elizabeth Warren: 29%
  2. Amy Klobuchar: 21%
  3. Kamala Harris: 19%
  4. Stacey Abrams: 17%
  5. Tammy Duckworth: 3%
  6. Gretchen Whitmer: 2%
  7. Val Demings: 2%
  8. Kirsten Gillibrand: 1%
  9. Catherine Cortez Masto: 1%
  10. Michelle Lujan Grisham: 1%

We also had 3% of people vote for someone else. Among those, the top vote-getter was Michelle Obama, followed by former National Security Advisor Susan Rice, and (somewhat of a shocker) New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

And don’t forget: Five lucky voters have won a VOTE mask from Resistance by Design. Keep an eye on your inbox this week—one of them could be you.
