Just in time for Valentine’s Day—at the midpoint of Black History Month—our partner Elect Black Women has released four new endorsements.
And three of these candidates have competitive primaries coming up next month.
It’s a persistent disparity that Black women running as challengers or in open seats receive less money. And unfortunately, women donors are not doing enough to close this gap: According to a 2020 study from Open Secrets, in competitive primaries, women donors give only one third as much to female candidates of color as they do to white female candidates.
That’s why we’re asking for your help to fund these four candidates ASAP:
- Jennifer Esteen, CA-Alameda County Supervisor, March 5 Primary
- Chantelle Porter, IL-DuPage County Judge, March 19 Primary
- Kina Collins, IL-7th Congressional District, March 19 Primary
- Patsy Austin-Gatson, GA-Gwinnett County District Attorney, May 20 Primary

Thanks in advance for giving generously to Black women today and throughout the cycle.
