We’re two months out from the first debate!
The first Democratic primary debates of the 2020 election cycle will happen on June 26 and 27. First, the good news: All four leading women—Kirsten Gillibrand, Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar and Elizabeth Warren—have qualified!
This is critical because a stellar debate performance can catapult a candidate into the media spotlight and to the front of voters’ minds. The bad news is the women really need that right now.
Even before Joe Biden entered the race yesterday, it was clear the men are sucking up too much attention. Warren and Harris are losing ground in polls to Pete Buttigieg, and Klobuchar and Gillibrand are struggling to break out of the bottom tier.
We have to make this race a fair fight for the women. There are three ways you can help do that right now:
- Give at least $20 ASAP to our brand new Fair Fight presidential slate featuring all four women running for president.
- Once you’ve donated, forward this email to your friends and encourage them to chip in to the slate too.
- Finally, share this slate on Facebook and retweet it on Twitter to bring more of your network on board.
We’re in a historic moment, with the most women ever vying to be President of the United States. We cannot let this be a race dominated by men, especially men who don’t have the years of experience and policy chops these four women do.
The debates have to be where the women break out, and we know they can. Until then, we have a duty to use our platform—which was literally built to help Democratic women candidates grassroots fundraise—to keep them competitive.
Let’s make sure these four women have a real shot at winning the presidency. Chip in $20 to our Fair Fight slate now and then share it with your networks.
