Did you know WomenCount is a nonprofit? That’s right: the $2.8 million we crowdfunded for Democratic women this cycle—a small group of part-time contractors, volunteers and interns made that possible.

We expand and increase our fundraising for candidates every election cycle, and now we want to go even bigger for 2022. And we’ll need to, if we want to defend top GOP targets—like Sen. Maggie Hassan and Govs. Laura Kelly and Gretchen Whitmer—and support potential gubernatorial and Senate candidates, like Stacey Abrams and Chrissy Houlahan.

In fact, the senators we’ll be defending in 2022 were the very first Senate candidates we added to the WomenCount platform in 2015. We helped get them into Congress, and we have a duty to make sure they stay there.

WomenCount also has a duty as the only crowdfunding platform dedicated to fundraising for Democratic women.

Democratic women lost ground in Congress in 2020, and we need to reverse that trend with a massive response for 2022. But to make sure we can do our best work and support these women, we need you to step up: to fund critical updates to our technology, and pay our staff who do the critical online and offline outreach that brings more people onto our platform.

Crowdfunding only works when we all chip in—even just $5. Will you chip in $5 or more now to fuel WomenCount’s work in 2021?
