Hey! I’m Celia, and I’m a rising junior at Lehigh University. I have always been passionate about women’s rights, as I went to the Women’s March nearly a decade before I could vote. However, mere months after I gained the right to vote, I and millions of others were stripped of the inherent right to bodily autonomy. Although I’m fortunate enough to live in California and go to school in Pennsylvania (where abortion is currently legal but in jeopardy), there are too many women and girls who live under strict abortion guidelines, or even outright bans. This slate is focused on down-ballot women candidates in Pennsylvania who have made keeping abortion access ready and available as one of their main objectives. Additionally, data has shown that down-ballot women are the most surefire way of enshrining abortion access; as ensuring access is from the bottom up, not the top-down. As a part-time PA resident, I live in fear that the swing state I live in will swing red this November. So all I ask is that you take a look at these amazing and powerful five women!
