Victories in state elections this year will be the most potent signal Democrats can send against Donald Trump’s dismantling of our democracy. And his administration will have a front-row seat to the most-watched elections this year, just south of DC in Virginia.

All 100 delegates are up for re-election, giving Virginia Democrats the opportunity not only to increase their majority, but also to hand national Democrats a roadmap for taking back the House of Representatives in 2026.

Please help the five candidates on our debut 2025 Virginia House of Delegates slate get a jump on fundraising in the most competitive districts.

  • Lily Franklin, District 41: Lily ran last cycle and lost to the incumbent Republican by only 183 votes. That 2023 race saw more than $1.5 million in spending with at least $250,000 spent on political ads between the two candidates.
  • May Nivar, District 57: Local leaders rate this district a top pickup opportunity; the Republican incumbent won in 2023 by just 2 percent. May is currently facing a male challenger in the June 17 primary.
  • Nicole Cole, District 66: This is a competitive Republican-held district situated in the left-leaning 7th Congressional District, formerly held by Abigail Spanberger.
  • Jessica Anderson, District 71: The race will be a rematch between the current Republican incumbent and Jessica, who lost in 2023 by only 1.9 percent after being vastly outspent.
  • Kimberly Pope Adams, District 82: This will be another rematch. Kimberly Pope Adams fell short of flipping this district by less than half a percentage point in 2023 after outside oppo groups dropped $100,000 in the final days of the race.

Send a message that Democrats are coming for the House majority in 2026—help these Virginia candidates run and win in the closest races happening this year.
