women2020

It’s Election Day in Kentucky, Mississippi, New Jersey and of course, Virginia—where Democrats can flip the General Assembly by winning just two House seats and one Senate seat!

There’s a lot riding on Democrats taking control there, including ensuring fair districts and passing progressive legislation like gun reform.

But today’s not just about those four states—we also need to look ahead to Election Day 2020, and show the nation that voters are fired up to defeat Trump and flip the Senate to Democratic control in 2020.

That’s why we’ve got a lot invested in Virginia: This year, WomenCount members and partner organizations using our platform have raised more than $15,000 for women running in Virginia’s state legislative races, with an average gift amount of $30.

We’re harnessing the power of crowdfunding. Can you give $30 to WomenCount right now so we can keep harnessing this power in 2020?

No matter what happens tonight in Virginia, we can’t slow down. The Iowa caucuses are just 90 days away, and our remaining viable female presidential candidates need small-dollar donations to stay in the race.

Down-ballot contenders for Senate, House and state legislative seats need crowdfunding too. That’s why in the coming weeks, we’ll be rolling out targeted slates in key early and battleground states—like Iowa.

Stay tuned for more info on that. In the meantime, support WomenCount with a $30 gift.

And don’t forget to follow @WomenCount on Twitter. We’ll be tweeting tonight!
