Over the next two weeks, we want to encourage you to log off, unplug—whatever you need to do to regain some perspective and recharge after the year it’s been.

We know it’s been a year with some major challenges, but it’s also been a successful one for WomenCount. We raised a record $4+ million for women candidates, and we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you.

We don’t know exactly what’s waiting for us in 2025, and we actually don’t mean that to sound ominous. The incoming Trump Administration will certainly do a lot of things we don’t like. But we don’t need to react to everything he does—only the things that are true emergencies, and we won’t know what those are until he’s actually in office and his people are in place.

One thing we do know is that the day-to-day experience of him being president will be exhausting and distracting. We need this time to mentally strengthen ourselves and reaffirm our core values. That’s the best thing we can do right now to protect our communities in the years ahead.

So please, take a deep breath, and a break, this holiday season. We’ll be here when you’re ready to get back to work. There’s a lot to do—but it can wait, at least until January.

Wishing you and your family a restful, peaceful, and joyous holiday season.

Thanks,

The WomenCount team

PS—If there’s still room in your holiday budget, please consider a gift of $25 or more to WomenCount to help us continue our work in the new year.
